PUBLIC COMMENTS 5 Minutes
Bike to work day tomorrow: downtown at Java Juice, free massages, free maintenance on bikes, from 6:30-9:30.
Democrats club hosting on Thursday at 6 PM, hosting debate, will be panel of teachers discussing the debate after it is shown. Food will be provided.
ICC CHAIR M.G. SAMPLE'S REPORT
Has put together club goals information sheet from questionnaires and goal information on clubs. Hoping to have one page with all clubs listed with meeting times and information to have for advertising purposes.
ICC Representative roster: desires to know who has found it useful in the past. List has all ICC reps, their club, phone number and email listed. New format will have more officers listed like the president, vice president, treasurer, etc. Will allow easier communication with clubs by not having to rely on just one person.
“Snacks make the meeting”: form passed around for club advisors to rank the kind of food they would like to have at future meetings.
“Club room supply”: advisors asked to rank the amount of supplies needed on form passed around.
“Club events”: sheet passed out for clubs to list future events they plan to have.
ICC ADVISOR GABE GUITIERREZ’S REPORT
Reminds clubs that if they are having a food sale, they have to fill out food sale/bake sale request. Also have to have cafeteria head sign it. This is so cafeteria doesn't make the same food items that clubs are selling. Also asks clubs to limit the food sales until the food director can be talked to. Wants clubs to have only one food sale a month, though as many bake sales as clubs want can be had. This is due to contract with cafeteria. Student senate approved funds for a fridge. The dean however wants a cleaning plan before the fridge is purchased/installed. Monday the lobby furniture coming in. Club week to be planned. To be discussed more next week.
INFO/ACTION 5 Minutes
LLN events: 800 dollars for day of dead and mothers day events. Motioned by BSBU, second by Linux.
Michelle of Yoga: wondering about flower vases. Gabe: wondering about dividing of funds. LLN: 460 for mothers day, asking 400. 417 needed for day of dead, asking 400. Motioned passes all yes.
LLN event 2: 2000 bucks for conference. Initially motioned by Games, seconded by Puente.
Larry of Linux: wondering about funds being approved in fall for spring events.
Gabe: ICC funds good for the whole year, points out that LLN is wise request ahead of time.
David of Chess: wondering about student/advisor ratio. Gabe: should be about 1 advisor for every ten students but this is only for one club, unsure what LLN is.
Jenny of BSBU: wondering about fairness of LLN requesting 2000 when theres only 20,000 in the ICC budget.
Gabe: asks how much money LLN is putting into the conference from their own funds. LLN: after putting money in to the other two events, they can put in as much of their own money as possible into the conference.
AGS: asking if they plan on requesting more money later. LLN: no.
passes 5 no, 3 abstentions, 3 yes. Motioned by chess to table the item until next week, second by Medical Assistance.
Dig it: requests info on a good value that clubs should limit themselves to for it to be considered fair.
Meeting ended at 3:37 PM.

PUBLIC COMMENTS 5 Minutes
David: planning on starting a new club to help students who seek housing.
ICC CHAIR M.G. SAMPLE'S REPORT
Thanks clubs for filling out club questionnaire that was passed out.
ICC ADVISOR GABE GUITIERREZ’S REPORT
Purchase requisition forms: There are two different kinds. One that clubs use has Student Senate and Clubs only on the top. In order to get money out of club account you use this form. Minutes are required, which shows who motioned/seconded, how many voted yes/no, and the total requested. A bill must also be attached. Anything payed with a credit card must have a recipt. A proposal must only include items to be used to the event, cannot include anything not related to the event/what was requested. For conferences, include the registration form. Always pay for conferences in advance, never request funds/pay after, so plan ahead! Money takes time to clear from the college bank. Name the departments. Tax ID for vendors or social security number (like if club hires a DJ) must be there. President or Treasurer (either or both), club advisor, gabe's signature and dean's signature required. Description of what your ordering (services, computer parts, etc). Any questions, have your club treasurer see Gabe. See gabe for club budget numbers. Special instructions (used for mailing to addresses, otherwise money gets picked up at the college bank). When you have an event, you have to turn money made in the same day. Make a copy of the college bank form used. Excel spreadsheets to be used this semester for clubs to keep track of their spendings.
INFO/ACTION 5 Minutes
LLN: funding being requested for 3 major events. 400 for mothers day event, 2000 for conference trip, 400 for day of the dead. 2800 dollars total requested.
Meeting ended at 3:35 PM.

Latest News & EventsPosted: Tue Jul 08, 2008 1:35 pm

LindseyHello there, this is a news topic that I made by posting a thread in the forums. From now on, any topics posted by club members or administrators of this site in the Latest News & Events or Club Events sections will show up here on the front page. Hopefully this will make it easier for clubs to advertise their upcoming events. I might also code it so each club could have their own news section for their profile if enough clubs show interest.
A forum calendar has also been installed that allows club submitters to put in events that can span multiple days. A listing of the current week is also displayed on the bottom of the forum page as well.
Aside from the forum calender, an image gallery thats tied into the forum account system is also a new addition to the site, this should also be easier to use then the previous photo gallery system. I will be working on adding a random image feature to the main site pages as well as to the forum header.
As always, I appreciate any feedback about the site and how it can be improved, please post your suggestions to this section:
